CELEBRATE THE SEASON OF GIVING WITH PATRIOT PLACEMENTS

Fort Lauderdale, FL (11/6/2018) - Patriot Placements is hosting the 2018 Winter Wonderland Holiday Toy Drive to support the employment of veterans and their spouses. The event will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Modern Sixties Wine Lounge, Gateway Shopping Center, 1828 East Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. The evening will include a raffle, silent auction, guest speakers, and light bites.

In support of the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation, participants are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event. Guests can start their holiday shopping early at Modern Sixties Wine Lounge, which boasts an ever-changing collection of hand selected boutique vintages. Modern Sixties Wine Lounge will donate 20 percent of all purchases to Patriot Placements, a non-profit that matches our nation's heroes with career opportunities in the civilian sector.

PATRIOT PLACEMENTS AWARDS FIRST VETERAN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (5/9/2018) - Patriot Placements awarded the first Veteran Education Scholarship at a private event on May 9, 2018. Army Staff Sergeant Aaron Hacker received the $2,000 award. A resident of Fort Lauderdale, Aaron has served in the Army for more than ten years (six years’ active duty). His current unit of assignment is 7217th Medical Support Unit. Aaron is finishing his second year at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He will participate in a pre-doctoral research fellowship in 2019, then complete his final two years of medical school. Aaron and his wife Megan have been together for over ten years, married for three, and are expecting their first child.

The invitation-only event was held at Paradise Bank in Fort Lauderdale and featured tastings of American wines and vodka. Patriot Placements was the featured charity for Wines4Causes, which hosts special tasting events to support not-for-profit organizations. In lieu of an entrance fee to the event, guests donated contributions to the 2019 Veterans Education Scholarship Program. Catering for the event was provided by Deliver Lean. The wine selection and delivery were provided by Opici Wines and Primo Liquors and Fine Wine.

Proceeds from the event totaled $900. Additional donations are being solicited to reach the 2019 goal of $2,000. Patriot Placements will announce the 2019 scholarship program in the spring

PATRIOT PLACEMENTS HOSTS THIRD ANNUAL RED, WHITE AND BLUE PARTY

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (5/1/2018) - Patriot Placements, a local non-profit dedicated to veteran employment, is celebrating our nation’s freedom by hosting its third annual Red, White and Blue Party. The RSVP only event will be held on June 27, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Casa D’Angelo Ristorante, 1201 North Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale.

The fundraiser will feature prize raffles, photo opportunities, drinks and savory bites. School supplies will be collected at the door to support the Homeless Students of Broward County Public Schools. Guests are encouraged to donate crayons, pens, pencils and pocket folders. Patriot Placements is requesting that guests wear business style patriotic attire to the event.

Organizations and businesses can support the event through various sponsorship opportunities: Medal of Honor Patriot ($1,000 donation); Silver Star Patriot ($500 donation); Bronze Star Patriot ($250 donation); Valiant Patriot ($100 donation); and Proud Patriot ($50 gift basket donation). PATRIOT PLACEMENTS HOSTS FIRST JOB READINESS BOOT CAMP FOR VETERANS

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (2/5/2018) - Twenty human resources professionals will share their expertise with 20 deserving veterans at a Job Readiness Boot Camp organized by Patriot Placements, a non-profit formed in 2015 to offer support and services to our nation's veterans. The event, which will be held on April 7, 2018 at Keiser University, will provide veterans with the tools to successfully search for and obtain employment opportunities.

Patriot Placements organized the event in partnership with Keiser and the Staffing Management Association of South Florida (SMA). The event catering is sponsored by Whole Foods Market. Veterans will pair with employment experts at the four-hour Boot Camp to perfect their resume, LinkedIn profile, job search techniques, and interview skills and attire. A computer lab for creating resumes and a professional photographer for taking formal headshots will be available at the event. Gift bags, breakfast, snacks, and a raffle ticket for an Apple iPad will be provided to each attendee.

To qualify for the event, veterans must be honorably discharged from the United States Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Coast Guard. They must have a resume, LinkedIn account, interview attire, and a copy of their DD-214.

PATRIOT PLACEMENTS ESTABLISHES VETERAN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (2/5/2018) - Patriot Placements, a non-profit formed in 2015 to offer support and services to our nation's veterans, has established a Veteran Education Scholarship. The $2,000 scholarship will provide one qualifying veteran with the opportunity to advance his/her education and career goals.

Applicants must be honorably discharged veterans of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard and must be current residents of Broward County, Florida.

Applications will be accepted online from February 5, 2018 to March 23, 2018. In addition to completing the application, individuals must submit a copy of their DD-214, a resume, a character reference letter, and a 100-500 word essay explaining the impact the scholarship would have on their future. The scholarship will be awarded at a special event on May 9, 2018. The awardee must provide proof of enrollment in an educational institution within 12 months of receiving the scholarship.

PATRIOT PLACEMENTS SELECTED BY LUCKY'S MARKET AS BAGS FOR CHANGE RECIPIENT

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (12/7/2016) - Patriot Placements, a 501c3 nonprofit formed to offer support and services to our nation's veterans, is one of three charities selected for the first quarter of 2017 to participate in the Lucky's Market Bags for Change promotion. Customers who take their own reusable bags when they shop at the Lucky's Market in Plantation will receive a wooden dime at checkout for each bag used. When they place the wooden dime in the donation bin, Lucky's will double every 10 cent donation. The proceeds will be used by Patriot Placements to support an education scholarship for unemployed veterans.

Patriot Placements Launches Non-Profit Formed to Match Veterans with Jobs

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (5/1/2015) --- Patriot Placements - a newly-created 501(c)(3) approved non-profit designed to unite Veterans with employers in the American workforce – opened its doors on July 4, 2014. The organization is headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and offering service and support for Veterans across the nation.

Patriot Placement’s job placement program helps America’s returning heroes with transitioning their military experience to a civilian career path. In addition, the organization will partner with employers looking to hire skilled Veterans.
