FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (2/5/2018) - Twenty human resources professionals will share their expertise with 20 deserving veterans at a Job Readiness Boot Camp organized by Patriot Placements, a non-profit formed in 2015 to offer support and services to our nation's veterans. The event, which will be held on April 7, 2018 at Keiser University, will provide veterans with the tools to successfully search for and obtain employment opportunities.

Patriot Placements organized the event in partnership with Keiser and the Staffing Management Association of South Florida (SMA). The event catering is sponsored by Whole Foods Market. Veterans will pair with employment experts at the four-hour Boot Camp to perfect their resume, LinkedIn profile, job search techniques, and interview skills and attire. A computer lab for creating resumes and a professional photographer for taking formal headshots will be available at the event. Gift bags, breakfast, snacks, and a raffle ticket for an Apple iPad will be provided to each attendee.

To qualify for the event, veterans must be honorably discharged from the United States Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Coast Guard. They must have a resume, LinkedIn account, interview attire, and a copy of their DD-214.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (2/5/2018) - Patriot Placements, a non-profit formed in 2015 to offer support and services to our nation's veterans, has established a Veteran Education Scholarship. The $2,000 scholarship will provide one qualifying veteran with the opportunity to advance his/her education and career goals.

Applicants must be honorably discharged veterans of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard and must be current residents of Broward County, Florida.

Applications will be accepted online from February 5, 2018 to March 23, 2018. In addition to completing the application, individuals must submit a copy of their DD-214, a resume, a character reference letter, and a 100-500 word essay explaining the impact the scholarship would have on their future. The scholarship will be awarded at a special event on May 9, 2018. The awardee must provide proof of enrollment in an educational institution within 12 months of receiving the scholarship.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (12/7/2016) - Patriot Placements, a 501c3 nonprofit formed to offer support and services to our nation's veterans, is one of three charities selected for the first quarter of 2017 to participate in the Lucky's Market Bags for Change promotion. Customers who take their own reusable bags when they shop at the Lucky's Market in Plantation will receive a wooden dime at checkout for each bag used. When they place the wooden dime in the donation bin, Lucky's will double every 10 cent donation. The proceeds will be used by Patriot Placements to support an education scholarship for unemployed veterans.

Patriot Placements provides veterans in the Broward County area with personalized guidance and support in matching them with employers who value their military service, experience and skills. Dedicated recruiters work one-on-one to assist veterans and their spouses with employment services such as resume building, career transitioning, job placement and interviewing.

Luxury Networking Event Honors Our Veterans

WESTON, FL (8/5/2016) - Tickets & Sponsorships are still available for Luxury Chamber's Botaniko Luxury Soiree. The function will be held at the lavish Corporate office of Terra Group's Botaniko Weston project inside of Bonaventure Country Club on August 15th from 6-9pm. The networking soiree is Luxury Chamber's premiere event in Weston and will also serve as a fundraiser for Patriot Placements who enable U.S. Veterans to reenter the workforce.
